Practical tips
How to stand out
- Compare the range, not just the top number. The middle of a posted range is often closer to where offers land.
- Check if pay changes by location. Some remote employers post different ranges for different cities or states.
- Use the posted range in your pay conversation. It is fair to ask where in the range the role is likely to land.

About the data
LandMe collects open jobs directly from employers' own career sites and applicant tracking systems, not from other job boards. Counts are open jobs with a known U.S. state as of October 12, 2026. “Posted in the last 7 days” uses the date the employer posted the job. Listed pay uses the middle of each posted range. Hourly pay is converted to a yearly amount at 2,080 hours (40 hours a week, 52 weeks). Median pay is shown only when at least 30 listings include pay.
