Practical tips
How to stand out
- Check where you can work from. Many remote jobs are limited to certain states for tax and licensing reasons, so read the location line before you apply.
- Show you can work on your own. Point to a project or result you delivered without someone over your shoulder, and name the tools you used to stay in touch.
- Apply early. Remote jobs draw applicants from across the U.S., so a new posting fills its review stack fast.

About the data
LandMe collects open jobs directly from employers' own career sites and applicant tracking systems, not from other job boards. Counts are open jobs with a known U.S. state as of October 12, 2026. “Posted in the last 7 days” uses the date the employer posted the job. Listed pay uses the middle of each posted range. Hourly pay is converted to a yearly amount at 2,080 hours (40 hours a week, 52 weeks). Median pay is shown only when at least 30 listings include pay.
