Practical tips
How to stand out
- Share your availability up front. Part-time hiring often comes down to who can cover the open shifts.
- Ask about a set schedule. Some part-time roles have fixed hours; others change week to week.
- Ask whether part-time staff can move to full-time. Many employers fill full-time roles from inside first.

About the data
LandMe collects open jobs directly from employers' own career sites and applicant tracking systems, not from other job boards. Counts are open jobs with a known U.S. state as of October 12, 2026. “Posted in the last 7 days” uses the date the employer posted the job. Listed pay uses the middle of each posted range. Hourly pay is converted to a yearly amount at 2,080 hours (40 hours a week, 52 weeks). Median pay is shown only when at least 30 listings include pay.
