Practical tips
How to stand out
- Put your clearance level and status near the top of your resume, including when it was granted.
- Read the requirement closely. Some jobs need an active clearance on day one; others will sponsor one.
- Veterans and federal workers: translate your duties into plain civilian terms alongside the clearance.

About the data
LandMe collects open jobs directly from employers' own career sites and applicant tracking systems, not from other job boards. Counts are open jobs with a known U.S. state as of October 12, 2026. “Posted in the last 7 days” uses the date the employer posted the job. Listed pay uses the middle of each posted range. Hourly pay is converted to a yearly amount at 2,080 hours (40 hours a week, 52 weeks). Median pay is shown only when at least 30 listings include pay.
